Bud Porter-Roth
Porter-Roth Associates
Mr. Porter-Roth is the founder and principal
consultant for Porter-Roth Associates (PRA). PRA provides a broad range of
business and technical consulting services to users and vendors of electronic document
management technologies.
Mr. Porter-Roth has been an independent consultant in the
technology industry for over 20 years. Prior to forming PRA, he worked as a
Senior Consultant for TRW Financial Systems (TFS) specializing in document
imaging, Director of Proposal
Development for Plexus Computers, and Manager of Proposal Development for Tandem
Computers. Mr. Porter-Roth also worked at Ford Aerospace as a proposal
specialist.
He is a frequent speaker and writer
for associations and publications on the topics of writing RFPs, procuring
technology systems, Return on Investment (ROI) analysis,
electronic records management, and writing sales proposals. He is the author of the following
books:

Mr. Porter-Roth received a
BA and teaching credential from U.C. Berkeley, California.
He is an AIIM Master of
Information Technologies (MIT) and a Certified Document Imaging Architect
(CDIA).
He has chaired various standards committees at AIIM including the RFP
Guidelines (TR-27) Committee, OCR/ICR Committee, and the Knowledge Management
Committee.
